1) I'm a NATCA member. Who do I contact if I'm having problems with my e-mail or login for the members only section of the website?
NATCA members can request access to the members only website by entering their membership number at http://www.natcamembership.org/natca/signup.asp. After entering your membership number, the page will automatically generate a new username and password. You will then have the option to sign up for an e-mail/ BBS account. Your username and password will not change if you have a previously-established e-mail or BBS account. If you do not know your membership number, please call the Membership and Marketing Department at the national office at 800/266-0895. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact the Communications Committee at web-staff@list.natca.net.

2) How can I become an air traffic controller?

3) Why can't those over the age of 30 become air traffic controllers?
The "Age 31" rule is in place because of the mandatory Age 56 retirement age for controllers.

5) Do I have to be a United States citizen to be an air traffic controller? What are the other minimum requirements?
You must be a U.S. citizen to work as a FAA air traffic controller. Other minimum requirements include being 30 years of age or younger, becoming an employee of the FAA and passing a rigid medical examination including but not limited to vision, hearing, substance abuse/dependency as well as a background check.

6) Where can I find detailed operational air traffic control information?
Due to security issues following Sept. 11, 2001, and the on-going initiatives continuing around the globe, NATCA does not publicly discuss specific operational issues concerning the National Airspace System.
You may be able to obtain information by submitting a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the FAA. It would be up to the FAA as to whether or not it could honor your request.

7) Where can I find air traffic control simulator programs?

9) I have a specific question about a medical qualification issue. Where can I find this information?
Medical qualification decisions are the exclusive domain of the FAA flight surgeon.
